Debbie is a consultant and trainer working in the arts sector. Commissioned to write three books on keeping livestock and smallholding, the first on Keeping Ducks and Geese was published in 2021, the second on Keeping Goats was published in 2022 and The Complete Guide to Smallholding in 2023. She was a regular contributor to Country Smallholding magazine and Home Farmer for many years, and wrote a regular column in The Landsman. She lectures on smallholding at Bicton College or at the farm for HighGround, the charity supporting veterans and those transitioning from the military into the landbased sector.
